Newcomers are some of the most vulnerable to Ontario’s housing shortage
You can give them safety and security in a time of instability.
Your donation will go directly to a newcomer family in Ontario, often in your community. Agencies in your community will connect their clients with items you have offered. Your donation will stay in your community.
What makes a good housing donation?
Extra space could mean a guest room, basement apartment, carriage house, or rental.
It is critical homes are safe and healthy for newcomers.
Homes with separate entrances or extra bathrooms help newcomers feel safe.
Newcomers can be housed temporarily or long-term based on your generosity.
OCASI is also accepting donations of employment, goods, and services
If you have a spare couch, a cash donation, extra clothes, or some other kind of service or good you’d like to donate to a newcomer, we have a form for that!
