Newcomer Donation Network: Serving Newcomers Together
The Newcomer Donation Network website is a user-friendly and comprehensive platform that connects people who wish to donate to help their communities with local agencies and, through them, newcomers in need. Currently, the website accepts offers of temporary housing for newcomers in need. This donation platform is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), which means 100% of the donation goes directly to newcomers in need.
Everyone in Ontario has the opportunity to support the arrival of newcomers to their community. This website was developed to address the needs of newcomers arriving in Ontario through government initiatives from regions in crisis.
OCASI, the Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants, manages the Newcomer Donation Network to connect public donors and community agencies with assistance offers.
You can help connect a newcomer with a donated space in 4 simple steps:
- Newcomers arrive in Ontario with a need for safe and secure accommodations.
- Donors use this platform to offer extra space to newcomers in Ontario for free or at low cost.
- Community-based agencies connect with donors to learn more about their homes.
- Agencies place Newcomers in these safe and healthy extra spaces.
